Yesterday we came home from the hospital and introduced Hayden to her home and her room. She told us she loves it so that was a relief. Phew.
Our last night in the hospital was the toughest so far as Hayden woke up every hour to feed. Savannah is a true supermom already as she diligently did her job of feeding the little one. Although the hospital was excellent and took great care of us, we were excited to leave and return to our home. It was also during checkout that we had our first picture as a family (Savannah, Matt, and Hayden).
Our first night home was easier as Hayden only woke up a couple times. She is eating well and still loves to look around and explore the things around her. We can't wait to see this trait develop as she gets older.
We will try in the next days and weeks to get her on a schedule of eating and sleeping so that both our lives, and her life, will be easier. Everyone with kids is now laughing at their computer screen. We will see how successful we are.

So great to hear that things are going well at home. We have been thinking of you all a lot and hoping that you are getting some sleep. And yes, we did laugh at the screen when you talked about a schedule...but honestly we got Vincent on a loose schedule around 3 weeks - so that wasn't too long. But before that it was anything goes!
Your little girl is absolutely gorgeous and so little. They change so fast - enjoy the newness of it all and just how precious and small she is now. It is clear to see how much she is loved and cared for. You guys are already such great parents.
I hope all your nights are as good as your first home (and not so much like the last night at the hospital!).

She just gets more and more beautiful everyday, I can't believe how much she has changed already as I'm sure you're seeing so much more being there with her.
And yes I too giggled but only a little it's amazing how fast the little ones will actually get themselves on a schedule (Ella's was - sleep all day, stay awake and eat all night) but it didn't take long to get her switched around. I suppose we had it coming being that Maddie (our first) slept from 8p-8a by 6 weeks.
Anyway, you guys are doing a great job. All she really needs right now is lots of love - which is obvious she's getting and lots of food (okay and maybe a changed diaper every now and again).
Hope you aren't too tired to soak this all in - it goes fast (as I'm sure you've heard a million times now).
